Evaluation by the Young Foundation

The Young Foundation – a non-profit organisation focused on community research and social innovation - are working alongside the University of Bedfordshire – Culture and Community Engagement, to conduct the evaluation of the Fairness Taskforce. 

The taskforce is informed by local people’s lived experiences, coming together to explore what needs to change, and working collaboratively to make that change. We are working iteratively alongside the Fairness Taskforce team as key partners to understand the work as it develops and the effect this has on systems change, using the principles of shared learning and evaluation. This partnership is interested in understanding how change happens within Luton, what impact this has, and what learning can be shared with those wanting to take similar approaches in their local places. 

We are taking a community-led approach to learning, embedding community voice in the evaluation's design and delivery. The team has recruited and trained a team of Community Researchers to work alongside them to identify key priorities for the evaluation and how and where to target data and insight collection to ensure that the evaluation speaks to local experiences.
