Cohort 1 brought together 14 brilliant leaders from across Luton, each with their own lived experience, skills and passion for change. Coming from a wide range of backgrounds, sectors and communities, they formed a rich and supportive network.
Meet Some of the Cohort Below!
Jeffery Asante
Jeffery Asante is a Creative Technologist and Access & Outreach practitioner committed to empowering young people through skills, technology and opportunity. Based in Luton since 2011, he works across schools, universities and community organisations to help young people build confidence, develop transferable skills and explore future career pathways.
With a background in software and web development, Jeffery is particularly interested in how digital technologies such as augmented and virtual reality can enhance learning and bring heritage, culture and storytelling to life. Much of his work focuses on supporting young people from underrepresented backgrounds, creating spaces where they feel seen, supported and empowered to realise their potential.
Leela Sule

Michelle Boldeau
Michelle is a Clinical Support Worker in the NHS and a lifelong advocate for dignity, compassion and active listening. A proud child of the Windrush generation, her work spans healthcare, mental health support and community leadership - all grounded in a commitment to supporting people at their most vulnerable.
Alongside her NHS role at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, Michelle brings experience in legal advocacy as an accredited Police Station Representative and former paralegal. She is also Branch Secretary for Luton North Constituency Labour Party and a graduate of the Bernie Grant Leadership Programme.
Luton has been Michelle’s home for nearly 20 years. As a grandmother to a child with complex needs, her commitment to accessibility and inclusion is deeply personal. Outside of work, she volunteers as a UK Athletics Visually Impaired Guide Runner.
Michelle believes real change starts with listening — and is passionate about helping build a fairer, more confident Luton where everyone belongs
